Journey Time: Tunnel Rescue Train 2 – Mission on the Lötschberg
An extraordinary mission in the Swiss Alps!
Extensive tunnel works are due to take place in the Lötschberg region. Following the discovery of damage to the infrastructure, specialists must inspect the affected sections of track. The tunnel rescue train is required for this. But before work can begin, the necessary equipment must first be transported to the site.
In ‘Journey Time: Tunnel Rescue Train 1’, you can look forward to a cohesive story featuring four varied tasks on the Lötschberg Railway and in the Lötschberg Base Tunnel.
First, you’ll transport the rescue train from Brig to Spiez. Along the way, cranes must be positioned in Goppenstein and Frutigen. Two Tm 232 locomotives will then take over the rest of the work. Together with a team of experts, you’ll head to various damaged sections in the Lötschberg Base Tunnel and on the mountain route. Precise shunting and meticulous work are required before the rescue train is finally prepared for the return journey.
Experience the unusual day-to-day work away from regular passenger and freight services and discover the Lötschberg Railway from a completely different perspective!
