InterRegio – The comeback of a long-distance transport legend
The InterRegio stands for relaxed, accessible long-distance travel between systems like no other type of train. With this DLC, we are bringing the classic IR back to the simulator – completely redesigned, technically up to date and with great attention to detail.
Based on the 3DZUG InterRegio bundle, which has been successful for years, all carriages have been completely redesigned to replace the models that are over ten years old and show the InterRegio as many remember it – modern, harmonious and authentic. From the carriage body and bogies to the materials and lettering, this package meets today's quality standards.
A special highlight is the first-ever colourful interior design, which deliberately set the InterRegio apart from IC and ICE trains. It gives the train its unmistakable character and provides exactly the cosy atmosphere that made this type of train so popular.
Also new is the matching InterRegio control car, which makes the train fully operational for the first time. This allows realistic push-pull train scenarios to be implemented and typical uses of the InterRegio to be authentically recreated.
The InterRegio was never the fastest train – but it was often the most comfortable. It connected medium-sized towns, holiday regions and conurbations, offered frequent services and its own travel concept. This DLC brings back exactly that feeling: slow-paced long-distance travel with character.
This package is a tribute to a formative era of German railways, implemented with modern standards and the aim of bringing memories back to life.
