Two days of snow, radio messages, and flexible scheduling: In Volume 80, you will experience realistic winter service between Augsburg, Treuchtlingen, and Nuremberg.
On the first day, you start in regional transport with the RE 80. Secure the connection, couple in Donauwörth, shunt into the occupied track under command 40 – precision work is required. After the train merger, you continue towards Augsburg before the end of the working day.
But on the second day, long-distance traffic takes over: with ICE 1 (PL version) and ICE 3, you commute several times between Augsburg and Nuremberg. Left-hand traffic near Nuremberg, the first snow showers, then stricter instructions for selected series, speed reductions, and finally a short-term line closure near Augsburg-Hochzoll. The situation is coming to a head...
